Detour

Detour is an anti-guidebook that explores unsafe places in central Stockholm through anonymous stories from women aged 18 to 65. The project highlights gender differences in the experience of safety and aims to create discussion and raise awareness on this important issue.

Blending humor and satire, Detour tackles a serious topic in a way that both engages and challenges readers. Its design reinforces the message, juxtaposing the familiar aesthetics of a traditional guidebook with unsettling content. A mix of original photography and Google Street View images creates a distorted, uneasy atmosphere—mirroring the insecurity many feel.

A digital version invites users to share their own stories and mark additional unsafe locations, ensuring the project’s impact extends beyond its 2024 release. Detour has also been distributed to urban planning offices, advocating for a more inclusive and safer city.

Beckmans Graduation Show 2024

Collaborators: Mauritz Larsson
& Ludvig Wänelöf

Alongside our thesis projects, we had the honor of designing the identity for Beckmans College of Design’s graduation exhibition and fashion show. Inspired by the growing use of digital collaboration tools during our studies, we based the identity on Google Sheets. This concept allowed students to actively shape the visual identity, making them more visible in the process.

Our goal was to challenge traditional design methods by merging the digital structure of Sheets with analog expressions—seen in posters, catalogs, exhibition design, and printed materials.

A special thanks to Reidar Pritzel for developing our website and Alva Nylander for photographing this year’s hero images for all thesis projects.

Are We There Yet?

Collaborator: Mauritz Larsson

Posters and a folder for Beckmans College of Design’s research communication project on antibiotic resistance, Are We There Yet?, an exhibition created in collaboration with Svenskt Tenn and the Beijer Institute.

The exhibition was presented at the Permanent Mission of Sweden to the United Nations in conjunction with the 79th UN General Assembly in New York on September 25, 2024.

A special thank you to Sophia Wood for her dedication and for making this project possible, as well as to the VK24 class for allowing us to represent the group exhibition.

The Last Resort

Collaborators: Ludvig Wänelöf & Jonas Hemlin

Perfume concept and campaign for The Last Resort, a fragrance that reimagines travel in an era of flight shame.

Flygskam (flight shame) emerged in Sweden in 2018, challenging the environmental impact of air travel. Yet, the longing for distant escapes remains. The Last Resort offers an alternative—bottling the sensation of stepping off a plane into warm, foreign air, without the carbon footprint.

Scent created by Yousif Saleh, Adrien Altis, Katie Lower & Keija Zhu from ISIPCA Paris.
